From the outside looking in, I think it would be easy to identify this Instagram account by the resemblances of my children, our kitchen cabinets, maybe the kitchen table, or perhaps by a morning time bundle. Most likely its much harder with a picture of my face.

I’m hoping to be a bit better at stepping out from behind the camera in the coming year. What better way than to begin with a simple hello 👋🏼(from the bathroom, naturally). I’m so glad you’re here.

Trying to learn how to navigate Instagram in light

Trying to learn how to navigate Instagram in light of our current cultural climate. One part of me wants to be here; sharing pictures of my family, home, morning time bundles, etc. while another part of me is overcome with anxiety at the thought of sharing anything.

Last week @withhisgrace shared some excerpts from a sermon that has helped her navigate the past year. Since she shared, I have listened to that message from @alistair_begg_truthforlife numerous times. She saved it to her stories under the highlight “Peace”. This afternoon I listened to our church’s online

This afternoon I listened to our church’s online Christmas Eve service, took a small nap, and re-heated yesterday’s leftover soup for dinner. Tomorrow... I think I’ll do the same. I know some people are ready to move on the day after Christmas, but I am not one of them. Listening to the nativity story and singing hymns that celebrate His coming bring me so much JOY. I’m happy to relish this time a little bit longer before moving on. 📯
