I am absolutely thrilled to begin yet another year of morning time bundles. Soon, these bundles will be 3 years old. I truly can’t believe it. Not only does this milestone signify another year of homeschooling and spending time with my family, it also signifies another year of you inviting me into the heart of your homeschool and into the lives of your family. What an incredible honor!
This month we are pressing forward with our character qualities of God study, exploring another piece of art by Winslow Homer, enjoying a small composition by a new to us composer (Sibelius), and enjoying a poetic work celebrating sweet summer days.
Thank you so much for the honor of preparing these bundles and inviting me to be part of your morning time. It brings me so much joy. I hope it does you, as well.

Fair was the blue sky overhead,
Fair was the earth below;
Soft as an infant’s breath, the wind
Went wandering to and fro.
The creeping grasses clad the earth
In garniture of green;
A summer day more fair more sweet,
The earth has never seen.
Yet something still it seemed to lack
To satisfy my heart;
Lovely, but lifeless as a thing
Created by some art.
But lo – I heard a gush of song,
The whirring of a wing,
And into happy, joyous life
The whole world seemed to spring.

This month we will be studying the black cricket using The Handbook of Nature Study to help direct our learning. The morning time bundle will help guide you through this process.
Here are some online resources that are linked in the bundle and may be used in your studies:
Our morning time craft for August instructs the learner in how to sew a cloth napkin or tea towel. This is a beginners sewing project that will give practice in sewing a straight line, sewing mitered corners, and making small hems. For my linen napkin project I used previously dyed linen from the August 2020 Morning Time Bundle. If you would like to dye your own fabric, this was a beautiful morning time bundle you may wish to pair with this month’s.
This month we are studying the life of President William McKinley.
You can find The Ultimate Guide to the Presidents section for William McKinley here: The Ultimate Guide to the Presidents: Executive Retreat skip to 36:26 – 44:10.
A brief visit to his historic birthplace can be found here: William McKinley Museum

I was tempted to wait until it was officially fall to include these blondies in our morning time bundle, but they’re so delicious I couldn’t wait. This delicious would be perfect for a rainy summer afternoon spent indoors….or a hot summer day would work as well. They’re delicious and I’m pretty sure delicious has no specific temperature requirements.
The morning time bundle also includes a guide to help aid you in the implementation of this study. It includes 4 weeks of a suggested learning rotation that will help you cover all of the topics included over the course of the month. This is simply a guide. You can add to or take from it as you wish and as your learning leads you.
Thank you so much for your continued support of my small business. I hope that these bundles bless your family time together and that ultimately they draw you closer to Christ who loves you so dearly. Happy Summer!!
