Description
Earth’s crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God, but only he who sees takes off his shoes…
From time to time it is good to stop and evaluate all of the things we devote our time to. Recently, I re-evaluated why I spend time each month creating a new guide to morning time, especially in light of our current political and health struggles. I took another look at their purpose as well as the purpose behind this little space of mine on the internet. If you read the About page, you will quickly learn that one of the prevailing reasons I began this blog is because I was desperate to see beauty in the chaos.
After reassessing my purpose here I am once again determined that this is exactly where I need to be and these bundles are without a doubt the beauty, truth, and goodness I want to share with you. Hebrews 10:23-25 encourages us to “hold resolutely to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching.”
Never has my desire to help you turn your eyes to Jesus been greater. He is here in our midst, our ever present help in trouble. He placed us here, as mother’s of growing and learning children, in 2021, for such a time as this. Puddles of his love are everywhere, if we simply have eyes to see them. My desire is that these bundles help point you to them.

POETRY
By all these lovely tokens September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather and autumn’s best of cheer.
Tomorrow we are expecting to have the hottest day of the year with the temperature touching 100º and humidity in the 90-95% range. With such heat, it is hard to imaging that near the end of September we will be experiencing anything close to autumn’s best of cheer, but it is true. This is one of the reasons why so many of us love September. The colors change, the weather cools, and autumn begins to nod its head at us.September, by Helen Hunt Jackson, does a lovely job describing all of the changes we will see as fall is ushered in.
Mr’s Jackson had a very interesting life and, when older, enjoyed friendship with Emily Dickinson. You can learn more about her by using the following links:

NATURE STUDY
This month we will be studying the Skunk and the Raccoon using The Handbook of Nature Study to help direct our learning. The morning time bundle will help guide you through this process.
Here are some online resources that are linked in the bundle and may be used in your studies:
Easy Science for Kids: Raccoons
My friend, Crystal Wiley @ Simple.and.Free has a fantastic simple study of Night Creatures. It includes picture book and field guide recommendations, hand drawn coloring sheets, and lesson plans to help aid your study of nocturnal animals. She is offering a % discount off of the study for morning time bundle users this month, use coupon code: when checking out on her site.
CRAFT
Our morning time craft for September instructs the student on how to make a felt pear ornament. In autumn of 2019 we did a similar craft with a felted apple. You can find that bundle here: Autumn Morning Time Bundle 10.19 It is one of our favorite crafts to date and is one that I love including again; this time with a different seasonal fruit.
If your student does not enjoy hand sewing, you can easily adapt this craft by gluing the felt pieces together with fabric glue and drawing the seeds with a fabric pen.
CHARACTER STUDY
This month we are studying the life of President Theodore Roosevelt.
You can find The Ultimate Guide to the Presidents section for Roosevelt here: The Ultimate Guide to the Presidents: America Enters a Dangerous New Century start at the beginning and watch until minute 23:00. This portion is much longer than most, you may wish to split this section up into two viewings.

Take a virtual room-by-room visit of Roosevelt’s home here: National Park Service: Theodore Roosevelt Home
Visit Roosevelt’s birthplace here: National Park Service: Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace
RECIPE
This month we will make a delicious roasted pear dish for our morning time. Not only is this recipe delicious, it is also guaranteed to make your house smell better than any fall scented candle you could purchase. Your family will naturally gather together as the scent begins to fill the house. In my book that alone makes it a wonderful recipe to share here.
SCHEDULE
The morning time bundle also includes a guide to help aid you in the implementation of this study. It includes 4 weeks of a suggested learning rotation that will help you cover all of the topics included over the course of the month. This is simply a guide. You can add to or take from it as you wish and as your learning leads you.
Thank you so much for your continued support of my small business. I hope that these bundles bless your family time together and that ultimately they draw you closer to Christ who loves you so dearly.
Please know that I am praying for you as you lead your family toward love and good deeds.
